Default entheogen
An entheogen, literally "God inside us"[1] is loosely defined as any psychoactive drug that is used in a religious or spiritual experience.

The line between an entheogen and a recreational drug is often vague and entheogens are often only permitted by law where specific sects of people can prove that it is historically significant to their religion or subculture. A common example of this is the ingestion of mescaline through the Peyote cactus, which is legal solely for members of the Native American church to grow and possess (but not consume.)[2]
